The Moore County Home Builders Association is seeking applications for the ANNUAL VOCATIONAL CAREERS GRANT PROGRAM. The mission of this program is to support education and development of the vocational careers in the home building industry. Grants can be used for expenses related to tuition, books, job career expense, mileage, tools, clothing, etc.

Three $1,500 Grants
Three $1,500 Grants will be awarded to deserving Moore County High School students, college students, interns, apprentices, and those planning to pursue a higher education or career development/advancement in the home building construction industry. Winners will be recognized at a MCHBA membership meeting. This program will be in effect all year until all funds are awarded.

Completion of MCHBA Grant application; available online at www.mchba.com
Eligibility: High school students, college students, building industry interns and apprentices, and those pursuing homebuilding industry careers
A letter from each applicant stating the reason for requesting the Grant, your interest, future goals
Optional: A copy of the applicant’s school transcript with courses of study
A summary of the applicant’s achievements, activities, community involvement, recognitions, clubs, church, sports, etc.
Letter of recommendation on applicant’s behalf
Grants are one year and not renewable
Grants may be used for expenses related to tuition, books, job career experience, mileage, tools, clothing, etc.
Recipient’s field of study or career development must be related to the home building industry

Note: Applications will be considered for the current calendar year for any remaining grant funds.
