August 5 Lead Renovator, Repair & Painting Training

MCHBA Office / 8:00AM-5:00 PM

This 8-hour EPA approval course will certify participants for the new Lead Renovation, Repair andPainting (Lead Renovators) training requirements. In 2008 The US EPA announced new rules for contractors who renovate or repair housing, child care facilities or schools built before 1978. Under the new rules contractors and workers must have documented training and practice lead-safe work practices to reduce potential lead exposures during renovation and repair activities. The requirements apply to anyone such as painters, plumbers, electricians and contractors who could potentially expose children to lead dust during their work. This certification is mandatory if you do this work in North Carolina, and certification will be governed by Health Hazard Control Unit (HHCU).
NOTE: Space is limited to 10 participants.

The Home of the Year Committee has been working hard and this annual contest promises to be another great showcase for many of our home builders and their sub-contractors!

Also, back by popular demand, the “Excellence in Remodeling” contest will showcase the remodeled projects worked on by home builders and their sub-contractors as well! Mark your calendars and prepare to make your mark on the 2010 Home of the Year and the “Excellence in Remodeling”!

This showcase is open to call MCHBA members!

Entry packets include all the information you will need to make this year’s competition a success! And don’t forget about the early pay discount if you register by September 13, 2010. The final registration deadline is October 4, 2010!

Parade of Homes

The 2011 Parade of Homes will be held in conjunction with the 2011 Spring Home & Garden Expo.
This event will highlight the area's newest housing choices for two weekends!

Opportunity is knocking for Moore County new-home buyers and the Parade of Homes serves as an additional resource for consumers shopping for a new home.
